Dionysis Savvopoulos came to London for only one unique performance; a performance that goes beyond borders. He will present beloved songs from different stages of his career, songs that form the history of Greek music over the last forty years. Dionysis Savvopoulos is an iconic songwriter and singer and has given big concerts in Greece and abroad. His songs are being sung by a variety of singers, his lyrics and music are taught in Greek music schools and academic research has been written about his work. He is a Greek myth, called as the ‘Greek Dylan’ but he prefers to be called as the ‘Greek Savvopoulos’.
Dionysis Savvopoulos has a unique way of presenting his song, creating a mystical and intimate connection with his audience and there would be no better place for this unique performance than the Union Chapel. With special musicians but also featuring a special guest: the young songwriter and composer, awarded for her film music and with performances around the world, singing in Greek, English and Portuguese, Katerina Polemi.
